• With training camp just around the corner, this will mark one of the last quiet dishes. It’s been a calm September so far, but from here on in, things are bound to pick up. Here’s your Monday Daily Dish.

    Sunday Whispers

The big news on Sunday surrounded Nikola Pekovic. Due to his chronic ankle injuries, he will not play during the 2016-2017 NBA season. The Wolves signed Cole Aldrich and Jordan Hill, so they were prepared for this news. Nonetheless, it is still some sad news as Pekovic battled injuries throughout his career. We wish him the best.

After having sat out all season last year, Jazz point guard Dante Exum is ready to prove that he is fully healthy. Returning from knee surgery, Exum has stated that his explosion off the dribble and his speed is back. Exum will not be a popular pick during drafts as the Jazz have an abundance of depth at the guard spot this year. George Hill will allow Exum to ease back into the lineup.

Lastly, news from New Orleans stated that Anthony Davis would be ready to play in the season opener. Davis will be eased along during training camp, but should be ready to rock when the season starts. AD is a lock to go in the first round in all drafts this upcoming year.

I’m @radiomunoz and that does it for another tasty dish. Keep it locked on hoop-ball.com and follow @hoopballtweets for the best in NBA news. Oh NBA…come back already!

Fantasy News

  • Romeo Langford
    SG, Boston Celtics

Romeo Langford (right ankle sprain) is officially available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Langford has been injured for most of the season so far, having played more games with the G league team than with the Celtics. He could see some real opportunity in Wednesday's game with the news that Marcus Smart (eye infection) has been ruled out. Langford makes for an interesting low-cost DFS play. However, there is no guarantee that he will play.
