Jimmy Butler met with the media before today’s game with the Houston Rockets and shed a bit of light on his injury recovery.

He didn’t reveal too much, but insisted he would like to return before the playoffs. “Oh yeah, oh yeah, I plan on doing it. I can’t give you the exact date, but I want to come back and I want to help. I want to play.”
Jimmy Butler injured his knee on February 23, and underwent surgery two days later. The initial timetable for recovery was vague, but expected to be around 4-6 weeks. Today is three weeks on the day of his surgery.
The Wolves are 4-4 since the injury, and particularly missed Butler through the tough portion of their schedule, where they’ve gone 2-4 versus six straight playoff teams (with two more to come).
The team is hanging on to their playoff hopes by a thread. If Butler can return at any point in the regular season, it would be a boost for the team as this race is likely going down to the final days.
