• Jimmy Butler has earned an NBA All-Defensive Team honor, the NBA announced on Wednesday. Butler was named to the All-Defensive second team, along with Dejounte Murray, Al Horford, Draymond Green and Joel Embiid.

Jrue Holiday, Victor Oladipo, Robert Covington, Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert were named to the first team.

This was Butler’s fourth All-Defensive team honor. Each has been on the second-team.

This year’s honor is more impressive given he played in just 59 games. He set a career-high in steals with 2.0 per game, which tied him for second in the league behind Victor Oladipo. According to ESPN’s Defensive Real Plus-Minus, Butler ranked 22nd in the league among all players, and fourth among guards behind just Andre Roberson, Dejounte Murray and Oladipo.
