• The Kings have declined to extend a qualifying offer to guard Ben McLemore according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. McLemore will now be an unrestricted free agent.

This news comes on the heels of reports that Sacramento will sign Serbian guard Bogdan Bogdanovic to three-year, $36 million deal in the first week of July.

The Kings were likely waiting to hear the word from Bogdanovic before deciding on McLemore and in the end, it was an easy and expected decision for them.

In four seasons with Sacramento, the 24-year-old posted averages of 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25.5 minutes per game (293 games) on 41.7 percent shooting from the field (35.2 percent from three).

McLemore was drafted 7th overall by the Kings back in the 2013 NBA Draft. He still has the potential to put it all together but he just couldn’t find consistent success during his time in Sacramento.
