• Kings guard Garrett Temple has been named as the new Vice President of the National Basketball Players Association according to ESPN’s Marc Spears.

Temple was elected on a three-year term and he will assume the role immediately, taking over from Cavs G/F Kyle Korver. The 31-year-old Temple has naturally always been a leader on and off the court, so being voted into a position like this comes as no surprise. The new role will not affect his on-court presence with the Kings, it purely means Temple will have added responsibilities when he isn’t suiting up for Sacramento.
