The Kings and Sixers are set to do battle for the second, and final time this season tonight. The first meeting occurred in Sacramento where the Kings escaped with a narrow 109-108 victory.
However, this time the Sixers get home court advantage which should play a factor. Joel Embiid (back) has been ruled out for tonight so that does make life a little easier for the Kings. However, Ben Simmons should be a handful to guard while J.J. Redick could be a threat from outside.
Force Simmons to shoot the ball and you should be able to neutralise his presence. With Redick, it’ll be about pressuring him and getting up in his grill. He’s gone off on the Kings in the past so Dave Joerger will be cautious.
Zach Randolph will be returning to the lineup after being given the night off on Sunday. He’ll provide a much-needed boost to the offense and may help stabilise it a bit – something that was needed in the second half against the Raptors.
The Sixers are a beatable team it’ll just be about playing coherently on offense and putting emphasis on containing their top players. Playing with a little more pace, which they displayed a bit of on Sunday, and taking more 3-pointers is one way to find success.
