Cauley-Stein was injured Thursday night in Miami after running into Hassan Whiteside’s knee brace. He was originally taken out of the game, but re-entered later on. Jones also noted in an article posted to the Bee’s website that X-ray’s taken on both his left foot and ankle came back negative.
The Kings have relied heavily on Cauley-Stein on both ends of the floor over the last month, so his absence may be tough for the team to manage despite their depth at the position. Zach Randolph and Kosta Koufos should both see extended minutes. Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere could also play much larger roles considering the focus on youth.
