Kings F/C Willie Cauley-Stein has taken to Instagram to showcase the work he is putting in this offseason. More specifically, his work on the perimeter with most of the video clips displaying his handle and outside shot.
Cauley-Stein made strides offensively over the second half of the season but he still has a long way to go in that department. Putting in work like this is the best thing he can be doing to improve in areas of weakness.
Don’t expect to see him come out and be a go-to option on offense because it simply won’t happen; he’ll have to earn that. It’s going to be a process, likely a lengthy one, before we see plays being run for Cauley-Stein.
Ultimately, producing offense shouldn’t be the main focus for the 24-year-old. He needs to work hard on his rebounding which was a major flaw for him last season, as well as refining his defensive abilities too. Defense and rebounding are more of a priority at this stage and that’s where he’ll earn his minutes.
