According to Shams Charania, former Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is in talks with the Sixers on a five-year contract to run basketball operations.

Morey could sign the deal as soon as this coming weekend. He had served as GM of the Rockets since 2007 but would be joining new head coach Doc Rivers in Philadelphia.

Terence Davis was arrested on Tuesday night in New York City, then charged with assaulting a woman and criminal mischief.

No further details were available and the Raptors announced that they were investigating the incident.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that, after 35 years of stewardship, the Millers have entered into an agreement to sell the Jazz to Qualtrics founder Ryan Smith.

Smith is a lifelong Utah resident and Jazz fan with a longstanding relationship with the franchise, something that almost certainly guarantees that the team will be staying put. Woj is reporting that the deal includes Vivint Arena and is pending the approval of the Board of Governors.

C, Charlotte Hornets

Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer is hearing that the Hornets are highly interested in selecting former Memphis center James Wiseman and they would consider trading up in order to get him.

The Hornets definitely need help at the five where Cody Zeller is their starting center, while, in a draft class that is full of guards, they are stacked at that position. Both the Wolves with the No. 1 pick and the Warriors at No. 2 are open to trading down and it remains to be seen whether Charlotte can offer an enticing package. Wiseman is still a raw project but he would land at an ideal position if the Hornets were able to get him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo
PF, Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo remains the top target for the Heat in 2021 free agency and the team won't do anything between now and then to impede their chances of signing him.

The Bucks can sign Antetokounmpo to a supermax extension this offseason, but they reportedly won't consider trading him if he decides not to do so. The Heat have full Bird Rights on Goran Dragic, Jae Crowder, Derrick Jones Jr., Meyers Leonard and Solomon Hill but they will likely offer only one-year deals, avoiding to compromise their cap space in 2021. There has been nothing to suggest that the Greek Freak has any specific interest in signing with the Heat but the team is not shy about getting ready to make a run at him.
