Luke Kennard
SG, Detroit Pistons

Luke Kennard says that he's been playing a lot of point guard in the Pistons' bubble camp.

This isn't super surprising considering that Dwane Casey hinted at Kennard handling some PG work in the lead up to last season. With Reggie Jackson gone, the Pistons only have Derrick Rose and some rising sophomores as the PG types on the current roster. Rose definitely operates more as a scorer than an initiator, and if anyone is going to challenge Kennard for more traditional distribution work it might be Bruce Brown. Brown is the player who did a lot of the ball-handling last year and seemed to do well with the opportunity. It's also possible that the Pistons roll with Rose, Brown and Kennard all running the offense at times and eschew a traditional point guard completely. We're a long ways off from next season but Kennard has middle-round potential, so his deployment is something to watch out for.

Klay Thompson
SG, Golden State Warriors

Klay Thompson and Eric Paschall missed the second day of the Warriors' minicamp on Thursday as they continue to go through league quarantine protocols.

It is unclear when the two players will be able to attend the Warriors' bubble so stay tuned with us for updates as we should learn more in the coming days.

Bam Adebayo
C, Miami Heat

Bam Adebayo is not listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's potential series-clinching Game 5 vs. the Celtics after appearing to injure his wrist during Wednesday's game.

News was pointing in the right direction as Adebayo was at the Heat's optional practice earlier in the day. Expect the Heat to have their full complement of players on Friday as no rotation players are on the injury report. Only Gabe Vincent (right knee soreness) is questionable while Chris Silva (groin) remains sidelined.

Monte McNair explained that the Kings' draft strategy will generally be based on "best player available" and that the they will "look for talent and upside" on November 18.

The most illuminating part of this report is that the Kings will be looking at drafting the best player available. Had they used that approach in 2018 when they drafted Marvin Bagley second overall, the team may have ended up with Luka Dončić. The Kings currently have one pick in the first round (12th) and three second-round picks (35th, 43rd and 52nd)

Kevon Looney

Kevon Looney (core muscle surgery) was able to practice without restrictions during Thursday's session of the Warriors' minicamp.

Looney underwent core muscle surgery in May and appears to be fully recovered. It is worth monitoring how he progresses through minicamp as well as the team's upcoming training camp as Looney has dealt with injuries ever since injuring himself during the team's 2019 postseason run. This is a positive early sign as Steve Kerr told the media that "He seemed to come through practice really well."
