  • Kyle Kuzma
    PF, Los Angeles Lakers

Kyle Kuzma (left foot stress reaction) has yet to work in contact drills, but is closer to contact in "the next week or so," barring setbacks.

Kuzma has been working on his return to the lineup, but the fact he hasn't begun contact drills means it could take a bit longer. He is a late-round asset in fantasy leagues.

  • Patrick Patterson
    PF, Los Angeles Clippers

Patrick Patterson is in the starting lineup at power forward against the Lakers on Tuesday for opening night.

Doc wants Patterson to stretch out Davis, so he will put him up against the best to kick things off in the LA rivalry. The small ball lineup will be interesting, to say the least.

  • Josh Hart
    Team, New Orleans Pelicans

Josh Hart went to the locker room in the second quarter against the Raptors on Tuesday.

Hart left the game jogging to the locker room for unknown reasons in the middle of the second quarter on opening night. Stay tuned for updates.

  • John Henson
    PF, Cleveland Cavaliers

John Henson (ankle) is listed as out against the Magic on Wednesday.

Henson was experiencing groin soreness, but now the team is listing him as out with a right ankle sprain. He will serve as backup to Tristan Thompson upon his return to the lineup.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are likely to start Avery Bradley, Danny Green and Javale McGee next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis against the Clippers on Tuesday, as Rajon Rondo (calf) is unlikely to play.

Rondo is dealing with calf soreness, so Avery Bradley is likely to start. Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook should see a bump in minutes if Rondo sits out.

  • JJ Redick
    SG, New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans will start Lonzo Ball, Jrue Holiday, JJ Redick, Brandon Ingram, and Derrick Favors against the Raptors on Tuesday.

With Zion Williamson shelved, Redick has earned a starting spot in the good graces of coach Gentry. This bodes well for his playing time early in the season, which means he can be relied on as late-round value this season.

  • Cameron Johnson
    SF, Phoenix Suns

Cameron Johnson (left calf soreness) and Ty Jerome (right ankle sprain) have been downgraded to out for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

The Suns' crop of backup point guards are looking at a few extra minutes each with Jerome out, though it's still too crowded to rely on anyone. Mikal Bridges is in line to see a heavier workload at both wing spots without the services of Johnson.

  • Shaquille Harrison
    PG, Chicago Bulls

Shaquille Harrison (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

This is not a good sign for Harrison's chances of playing in the season opener. Harrison is off the fantasy radar as a deep reserve, even if he suits up.

  • Fred VanVleet
    PG, Toronto Raptors

Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby will join Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol in the starting unit for Tuesday's season-opening game against the Pelicans.

VanVleet, who was in line for mnites either way, gets a boost in value now that he's the confirmed starter for the Raptors. Norman Powell could still push for 20+ minutes as the first guard/wing off the bench.

  • Andre Iguodala
    SF, Memphis Grizzlies

Andre Iguodala remains away from the team and will not play in Wednesday's season opener.

The Grizzlies remain steadfast in their desire to trade Iguodala rather than buy him out. This saga may drag out to the trade deadline. Iguodala can be left on the waiver wire while this situation plays itself out.
