Giannis Antetokounmpo

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Giannis Antetokounmpo has won his second straight MVP award.

The NBA will announce it later today, but it's no surprise that Giannis won again. It's a regular season award, of course, so we can all put aside Milwaukee's playoff failures. The Greek Freak deserves the honor despite what your Lakers fan friends will tell you, putting up a remarkable season in which he averaged 29.5 points on .553 shooting to go along with 13.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.4 3-pointers in just 30.4 minutes per game. Antetokounmpo set a new NBA record for PER while leading the Bucks to the league's best record. Now all eyes will be on whether he signs a super max extension with the Bucks this summer.

Romeo Langford
SG, Boston Celtics

Romeo Langford (right adductor strain) left the game after just one minute of action on Thursday and didn't return.

Langford left and was replaced by Semi Ojeleye, who played nine scoreless minutes and didn't register a stat. Langford wasn't a big part of the rotation anyway at this point and it looks like any chance of that is dwindling.

Marcus Smart

Marcus Smart scored 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting to go along with four boards, four assists, two defensive counters and four turnovers in 38 minutes as the Celtics lost Game 2 106-101.

The Celtics were in control at halftime and really let this game get away from them as they crumbled in the third quarter, turning the ball over seven times and making only four field goals. Smart had all four of his turnovers in the second half and made just one of his six attempts. This team will need Smart to play smarter basketball going forward if they want to get back into this series.

Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown's 21 points, six boards and two 3-pointers weren't enough to push the Celtics to victory on Thursday night.

Brown was the third Celtic to score more than 20 points tonight, but it just wasn't enough against this well-balanced Miami team. It's hard to ask for too much more than this from Brown, but without Gordon Hayward in the rotation, the Celtics need help. The bench production in this game just won't cut it going forward. They got 16 bench points split between 24 minutes of Brad Wanamaker (seven points and two triples) and 11 good Enes Kanter minutes (nine points and six rebounds).

Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum scored 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting with five boards, four assists and five turnovers in a game-high 42 minutes as the Celtics fell in Game 2 on Thursday night.

Tatum didn't have the impact he did in Game 1 but still managed to eclipse the 20-point threshold. He'll have to be much better in Game 3 for the Celtics to get back into this series.
