Bojan Bogdanovic was fantastic in Croatia’s upset win over Spain, scoring 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting (including 3-of-8 from deep and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe) with three rebounds, two assists and one block over 36 minutes of action.
With Croatia trailing for almost the entire game, Bogdanovic helped lead a second half charge that ended with the Spaniards stunned. He was aggressive and active, proving to be too difficult a cover for Spain. A notoriously streaky player, Bogdanovic’s confidence seemed to be through the roof for the Croatians. With the Nets set to be underdogs on nearly every night next season, Bogdanovic will need to provide more of the same if he is to help lead them to any upset victories. Without much competition on what’s projected to be a very bad Nets team, he should targeted in the late rounds of standard fantasy leagues. Mario Hezonja (5, 2 & 1) was very quiet and needs to be much better if he intends to help fill the void for the Magic left behind by the Victor Oladipo trade.
