D’Angelo Russell hit just 2-of-11 shots for four points, one rebound and four assists in the Lakers’ 102-100 loss to the Jazz on Tuesday.
Russell’s value is sure to be scrutinized after this one as the numbers are terrible but so was the shot selection as he dallied with the ball and then settled for a missed hero three in the game’s final moments. The questions will be about his readiness for a big load and whether or not his knee is healthy, but for a young and immature player coming off injury it’s not too surprising to see him struggle. We’re still buying low with any top 60-75 asset to get him in 8- and 9-cat leagues, respectively.
