Gordon Hayward scored 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting (4-of-8 3PTs, 6-of-7 FTs) with five rebounds, four assists, two steals and six turnovers in the Jazz’s 103-94 loss to the Magic on Thursday.
Hayward is just a top 70-90 value (8/9 cat) on the season and almost all of his numbers are just a cut below what they were last season. We’ve theorized that the young guys have come out trying to establish themselves and that Hayward has been willing to oblige, but that when the games start to get more and more important that he’s going to exert his will more often. We’re calling him a big-time buy low candidate while there’s some doubt about the pecking order in Utah.
