• Interim coach Stephen Silas told Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer that the Hornets have made a conscious effort to call more plays for Nicolas Batum lately and hope to get him in his rhythm more often going forward.

That’s good news for Batum’s fantasy prospects. His season got off to a very slow start thanks to an elbow injury and it’s only been in the last few games that he’s looked like his old self. Saturday was easily his best game of the year with 23 points, four rebounds, five assists and five triples. Batum himself admitted that he tried too hard to adjust to other players on the new-look Hornets and shouldn’t have forced himself away from his typical game. So while the elbow injury has landed him on the injury report a few times since his return, Batum remains a buy low player if you’re not overly concerned about the injury risk.
