Jrue Holiday scored 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, eight assists and one steal in the Pelicans’ 143-114 loss to the Nets on Friday.
That the loss came at home is even worse and the Nets were missing two of their best players, too. Holiday’s production has been down and he hasn’t really hit his stride yet, hanging around the late-middle rounds since getting back on the floor. He’s a few percentage points low from the field and a whopping 10 percent low from the line, so this is a bona fide buy low moment for owners. The Tyreke Evans (eight points, four boards, two steals, 2-of-10 FGs, 13 minutes) showcase period might mark the end of that time frame.
