Dario Saric did not play in Wednesday’s finale due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Hopefully this is truly minor and it would seem to be the case as the Sixers rode Saric pretty hard down the stretch, knowing this injury was lingering. Saric’s struggles early in the season were monumental and played a big role in him finishing with just top 100-150 value (8/9 cat) on the year, despite finishing with top 70-100 returns after the All Star break. The encouraging news for his long-term value was the improvement to 3.0 money counting stats per game and his 43.2 percent field goal shooting came while he was handling a ton of the offense. Improved efficiency can go a long way toward tightening up his returns.
