Dennis Schroder went back to a minimal role in Friday’s win over the Bucks, scoring nine points on 3-of-9 shooting with one assist and two steals in 14 minutes.
This is classic Schroder. Have a big game or two, everybody gets a little hyped up and then nada. The Hawks have a pair of three-game weeks on the horizon and that’s not helping matters so unless you’re in a deep league, any play with Schroder is a shot and a prayer. On the other hand, Thabo Sefolosha (10 points, two threes, seven boards, three assists, one steal) has been consistently getting it done as a top 35-50 play the last two weeks. Kent Bazemore (23 minutes, nine points, four boards, one steal) is getting a bit more healthy, but that is coming out of Tim Hardaway Jr.’s bucket, and Sefolosha is a recommended start in any format even with the bad schedule.
