• D’Angelo Russell missed Wednesday’s finale while on bereavement leave.

Russell is with family following the passing of his grandmother and he left on a high-note with a game-winning three in his last game.  It was a trying season that opened up plenty of questions about his long-term fit with the team, assuming the Lakers keep their pick and have to decide on a point guard.  Plenty of his fans want to see him stay and play in a combo guard role even in that circumstance, but shot selection and defense not to mention overall disposition are all red flags.  He also experienced knee issues and it wasn’t great to see a young player miss time the way he did, playing in just 63 games.  He was a bust in fantasy leagues with late-round value on the year and at a costly mid-round price.
