Danilo Gallinari sat out Wednesday’s 111-105 win over the Thunder, as the Nuggets opted to give their younger wings an extended look in their season finale.
We knew this was coming, as Gallinari was also held out last night against the Mavs. As has become a pattern, he was again a top-50 player on a per game basis but struggled to remain healthy. Gallinari missed 19 games with thigh, knee and ankle issues, and health continues to remain the biggest impediment to his fantasy value. When he was on the court Gallinari produced an impressive 18.2 points, two 3-pointers, 5.1 boards, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals per contest. He is all but a lock to opt out of his current contract this off season, and it will be interesting to see where he lands if he decides to exit the Mile High City.
