Dennis Smith Jr. emerged as one of the biggest losers in fantasy, yet again, in 2019-20, disappointing everyone with value outside the top-400 in 9-cat scoring formats.
DSJ proved once again that he's a bust, both in real-life and fantasy. Despite a three-headed horse race for the starting PG job in New York, Smith's inefficiency and overall lackluster play saw him lose the role and playing time to both Elfrid Payton and Frank Ntilikina. In 34 games for the Knicks, DSJ was terrible with 5.5 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 2.9 APG and 0.9 SPG, on .341 shooting from the field and a .509 clip from the line. He should be considered persona non grata in all fantasy drafts moving forward.
