Jamal Murray ended his rookie campaign on a high note, pouring in 27 points with six assists, two rebounds, one block and four 3-pointers against the Thunder on Wednesday.
With Jameer Nelson out Murray saw 41 minutes of action at the point, and he made them count in this one. He shot an effective 10-of-17 from the field and 4-of-5 from deep, all while showing a maturing feel for setting up his teammates. Murray may have cooled off over the second half of the season, but he still managed to play all 82 games and looks like a key part of the Nuggets’ core going forward.
