Mason Plumlee started at power forward in the Nuggets’ season finale, finishing with 16 points and five boards.
He didn’t record a single money counter in this one, but the fact that he saw 33 minutes of action is intriguing. It seems unlikely that Plumlee and Nikola Jokic will be able to play together for extended minutes, but it does seem as though the Nuggets are willing to experiment with their front court rotation. Plumlee played 81 games this season and finished as a 10th round value behind averages of 10.4 points, 7.5 boards, 3.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 blocks. Still, his value took a nose dive after being traded to the Nuggets, and if remains in Denver this offseason his upside will be significantly limited in a backup role.
