Aaron Gordon managed just five points on 2-of-4 shooting (0-for-2 3PTs, 1-of-2 FTs) with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block over 28 minutes on Tuesday against the Lakers.
Gordon looked like he might be turning the page on consistency issues, especially without Nicolas Vucevic around, but he went through the usual disappearing act tonight. He’s still an easy mid-round value over the past couple of weeks but it’s games like this that make one wonder if the breakout is going to happen this year or next. Jason Smith started next to him in the frontcourt for Vucevic and finished with 10 points, two rebounds and a block in 24 minutes before fouling out. There’s not a lot to see there.
