Al Horford piled in 19 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on 8-of-13 shooting from the field in 40 minutes in a Game 1 home loss vs. the Bulls on Sunday.
Horford even managed to splash a three at the buzzer to end the first half after an offensive rebound from Kelly Olynyk. Horford was great this game, and provided the Celtics with production in every category except blocks and steals but he’s not known for that anyway. The only problem with Horford tonight was that he wasn’t able to box out Robin Lopez on a ton of rebounds, leading to second chance points for the Bulls. Lopez actually had eight offensive rebounds, which is the same amount of total rebounds Horford had. He’ll try to fix that problem in the Celtics’ Game 2 matchup.
