• Alessandro Gentile
    G, Houston Rockets

Italian guard Alessandro Gentile will have surgery on his right hand, after injuring his finger in practice, and he is expected to be back to action in approximately 60 days.

Gentile is a former second round pick of the Rockets and he was expected to participate in the NBA Summer League with the team that drafted him this summer but the injury obviouly changes his plans. There is a chance he gets invited by the Rockets for the veterans’ camp during September but he will have to show that he has recovered from his injury first. The Italian guard is a charismatic scorer but he has failed to remain consistent in recent years and the window for an NBA opportunity might be rapidly closing.
