Alex Caruso drew the start at point guard in Sunday's 83-84 loss to the Kings and logged 30 minutes, producing seven points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer.
Caruso has played 61 minutes over his last two games and was set to play in a G-League playoff game yesterday before the big club requested he stick around. His viability depends entirely on the health of Lonzo Ball, but it does look like he'll have a legitimate role whenever Ball sits. Josh Hart wasn't great off the bench tonight with five points, three rebounds, four assists and a triple to go with a 2-of-8 shooting line in 28 minutes while Tyler Ennis was good for four points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and two blocks in 16 minutes. Hart is still the better play here but Caruso could be a decent desperation option, if such a thing exists.
