Allonzo Trier made his first career start on Monday night and delivered 21 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes during a double overtime loss.
Trier started off very slowly but seemed to settle in as the game went on, and his 9-of-9 mark from the charity stripe helped offset a 5-of-15 line from the field. He's currently in the good books of the coaching staff and should be picked up in 14-team leagues while he's playing this much. It's certainly possible that he sticks in the starting five even after Tim Hardaway Jr. gets healthy, too.
