Amir Johnson will get the first crack at starting for Joel Embiid and will slot in at center on Friday night.
Johnson is a trusted veteran who does plenty of little things to help his teams win, but it's not a particularly thrilling choice from a fantasy perspective. He can carve out late-round value if the workload is there but the better bet remains Richaun Holmes, who would only need around 20 mpg to put a nice dent in box scores. If he can get that, he's looking at top-100 production. If the Sixers end up using Holmes as a starter, well — he ended up as a top-40 producer down the stretch last season. He remains a must-add while Johnson's outlook is a little better than it was yesterday.
