Andre Drummond posted 31 points on 14-of-21 shooting to go with 16 rebounds, a steal, a block and a 3-of-10 mark from the charity stripe in Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
Drummond wasted no time getting into mid-season form from every perspective. One change from the typical profile was the fact that he attempted three 3-pointers (and missed them all). While Drummond is the latest in a long line of bigs to talk up their shooting ability, Dwane Casey is on record saying that multiple 3-point attempts per night isn't out of the question — as long as he's open and they're in the flow of things. It obviously didn't damage his efficiency tonight but it might add up in the aggregate for a guy who typically operates in the low-.500s from the field. Free throw regression may also push Drummond outside the top-30 this season but he'll once again be elite for punt-FT builds.
