Andre Roberson was perhaps the only player on the Thunder to play well on Sunday, shooting 7-of-10 with four triples on his way to 18 points.
Roberson added seven boards, one assist, two steals and three blocks in 35 minutes. He’s going to be OKC’s only chance at slowing James Harden in this series but he came up big on offense tonight. The Rockets gave him plenty of room to shoot (by design) and he made them pay, though his teammates couldn’t hold up their end of the bargain as this one got put away in the second half. He had an absolutely gorgeous defensive sequence on Harden in this one, getting crossed up before recovering for a beautiful block at the rim. That’s what he’ll be asked for in this series, though the offensive output would be a nice bonus. The boards, steals and blocks should be there but anyone hoping for a repeat scoring performance is probably barking up the wrong tree.
