Andrew Nicholson and Russ Smith will remain in CBA, signing with the Fujian Sturgeons.
After a decent start to his career, playing four seasons for the Magic, Nicholson's playing time dipped to only 9.0 minutes in the 2016-17 season for the Wizards and Nets. He has revived his career in China where he averaged 22.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 triples for the fourth place Guangdong Tigers. His new team, the Sturgeons, also re-signed former Grizzly and NCAA champion, Russ Smith. Smith last played in the NBA in the 2015-16 season, appearing in only 15 games. He is racking up stats in the CBA and averaged 33.6 points. 6.9 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 2.9 triples for the 13th place Sturgeons last season.
