Andrew Wiggins‘ performance was neither here nor there on Christmas, as he notched 16 points (7-of-16 shooting), four rebounds, five assists and two triples in 34 minutes of action.
While Wiggins can definitely make a positive impact in the scoring column, that’s pretty much all he’s good for. To this point he’s outside of the top-200 on a per-game basis in 9-cat and is barely inside the top-175 in 8-cat. His field goal percentage (.427 on 15.7 attempts) and free throw numbers (.630 on 4.7 attempts) make him more of a punt play, and his paltry output in the money counters depress his value further. While Wiggins has all the talent in the world and a boatload of minutes on his plate every night, he’s never turned it into meaningful fantasy value over the course of a full year. His point totals lead to some gross overdrafting.
