Andrew Wiggins filed paperwork with the NBA that allowed him to cut ties with his agent Bill Duffy on Tuesday afternoon.
They were right in the middle of negotiating Wiggins’ max contract extension with the Minnesota front office. Buffy is entitled to up to four percent of Wiggins contract since it was negotiated under his watch and his agency, so he’s already reached out to the NBAPA to make sure this is handled correctly. Wiggins was discussing a 4-year, $148 million contract and rival agencies as well as potential start up agencies have been reaching out to Wiggins according to Adrian Wojnarowski. He’s one of the best young players in the league and already one of its premier scorers, no wonder he’s a hot commodity.
