The Pelicans fell in Miami despite another huge line from Anthony Davis, who spent his Friday night racking up 41 points (15-for-23 from the field, 9-of-10 from the line), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal, four blocks and two 3-pointers.
No next-highest scoring Pelican was Jrue Holiday with 21, and beyond that the only other player in double digits was Nikola Mirotic (15). The Pelicans can certainly scrape by on Davis' brilliance but will need more well-rounded production more often than not, as evidenced by tonight's loss to the scuffling Heat. Davis has shown no lingering effects from last week's one-game absence and will be at the top of fantasy's rankings all year long.
