Anthony Davis dropped 36 points, three assists, 17 boards, three steals, three blocks on 12-of-23 from the field and 11-of-14 from the stripe in Monday’s 100-108 loss to the Jazz.
Davis has three straight 30 point games and is peaking at a great time for owners. The Pelicans have played without DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) the past two games and The Brow has thrived. In fact it seems that Davis’ performance suffers when Cousins is on the floor. However, DeMarcus or not, you are starting your stud big man so there isn’t much concern here. The Pelicans are only four games back of the eighth seed so there should be no issues with resting.
Just a reminder
Anthony Davis this year with Cousins on the floor: 42% 15% 3pt
Anthony Davis without Cousins on the floor: 58% 42% 3pt
