Anthony Davis played 29 minutes in a win against the Knicks on Monday, finishing with 40 points (14-of-22 from the field, 11-of-12 at the line), one 3-pointer, 18 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and zero turnovers.
This was a monster night from Davis with absolutely amazing efficiency across the board. He’s been rebounding like crazy for quite a while now and really picked up his scoring in his last two games. The negative of the night was that he left the game due to a left hip injury and did not return. He was fouled hard by Kyle O’Quinn and went crashing to the floor. Hopefully it’s just one of those minor weekly injuries that he shakes off, but owners should keep their eyes peeled for updates. Luckily the x-rays came back negative. The Pelicans are off until Thursday, giving him a few days to rest up before they play a very favorable matchup against the Nets.
