Aron Baynes praised rookie center Robert Williams dedication Monday.
“I’ve seen a lot of dedication… maybe not from the first day, but since then.” Williams slipped in the draft after character concerns and missed his first meeting after sleeping in, but has seemingly flipped a switch ever since. Coaches had been giving Williams praise earlier in the summer, and Boston is the perfect place for him to develop. Williams had been dealing with knee tendinitis and a contusion since the first game of Summer League but is now back to playing five-on-five. The talent is there to become an impact, rim-running center, but he is not likely to be a fantasy contributor as a rookie.
