Austin Rivers shot 3-of-11 from the field for 14 points in the Clippers’ 114-88 blowout loss against the Thunder on Saturday.
Rivers got a second consecutive start at point guard with regular Chris Paul nursing a hamstring injury. Rivers saw 34 minutes of game time but finished with three assists and three turnovers in addition to his poor shooting night. The fifth-year pro continues to show why he’s more suited for a bench role, registering another inconsistent performance much like he has throughout his career. He’s worth streaming with Paul out, but picking out what games will be good ones will give you headaches. Deploy accordingly.
