Ben Simmons was asleep at the wheel in Wednesday's 130-95 drubbing, scoring only four points to go with six rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in 22 minutes.
The Sixers ran out to a massive lead and just didn't need Simmons and his buddies in the starting five to play much. Per-game, Simmons was a top-30/50 player in 8/9-cat formats. This despite shooting 55.8 percent from the line on over four attempts per game and 3.4 turnovers. Oh, and Simmons also failed to hit a 3-pointer all season, taking just 11 attempts. He's an active detriment in three categories and still posted early-round value, which should tell you just how fantastic the rest of his numbers truly were. 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks on .547 from the field in 81 games was enough to deliver a top-15/30 finish on the full season. It's scary to think that there's actually room for improvement.
