Blake Griffin went 8-of-17 from the field en route to 22 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and five turnovers in Monday’s loss.
Griffin’s Pistons tenure started out great as the team went 4-0 but they’ve now dropped three straight. There were some smoke and mirrors at play with the win streak as Detroit somehow drew four straight opponents on the second leg of a back-to-back, and now that they’re facing more rested and adequate competition the growing pains are popping up. Griffin is going to be a massive part of the playoff push and will surely get plenty of touches and shots so fantasy owners can at least bank on that. His insistence on taking threes will hurt his efficiency (1-of-6 tonight) but he’ll be the same player he always has been otherwise. Expect middle-round production as Detroit grinds out the season.
