Blake Griffin finished Game 3 with 11 points, six boards, two assists, a triple and a steal in 18 minutes before departing with a toe injury.
The injury is expected to keep him out of Game 4 at least, and it’s a tough hand to be dealt at this time of the year. He was solid before leaving and seemed to be enjoying life without Rudy Gobert patrolling the paint. Marreese Speights started the second half in his place and finished with eight points, a steal, a block and a triple in 19 minutes while Paul Pierce went scoreless in 21 minutes and just one shot attempt. Brandon Bass did not leave the bench. Griffin’s injury will totally change the dynamic in this series and it’ll be interesting to see how the Clippers adjust – they stole a big road win tonight. Speights is the only guy worth considering for fantasy owners, though he’s not a particularly great option to count on.
