Of all the Wizards to struggle on Friday night, of which there were many, Bradley Beal was perhaps the worst of all with four points, five assists and a steal while shooting 2-of-15 in 29 minutes.
Ouch. Beal had what looked like a cupcake matchup with the Nets tonight, and even if John Wall got some extra rest it just meant more touches for Beal. His usage buoyed some impressive scoring night’s in Wall’s absence but tonight he probably could’ve looked to pass a few more times. This game was a total disgrace for Washington, and it’s a safe bet to say that they’ll come out with a little more fire in the next one. Stick with Beal, as he’ll remain a top-35 player despite his recent swoon.
