Brandon Clarke disappointed on Wednesday in his first start since Jaren Jackson Jr. (torn meniscus) suffered a season-ending injury, posting six points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and one turnover.
Clarke saw 27 minutes of action, the lowest number of any starter and went to the bench at the four-minute mark in favor of Dillon Brooks. He did check in for Jonas Valančiūnas for the last 10 seconds of the contest, but the game was already a wrap at that point. The three defensive stats were encouraging but Clarke is going to have to do a bit more on offense for the Grizzlies to overcome the loss of triple-J from both a reality and fantasy perspective.
