Brandon Jennings got the start on Saturday for the Knicks and scored a season-high 32 points in 41 minutes of game action.
With starting shooting guard Courtney Lee out for the third straight game with a wrist injury, Jennings moved into the starting lineup and played well offensively, shooting a tidy 12-of-22 from the field while adding seven dimes. On the other side of the ball, Rockets’ guard James Harden exploded for 53 points without the Knicks’ best perimeter defender in Lee available, so we don’t see this starting role having a chance to stick for Jennings. Still, so long as he is getting additional playing time with Lee nursing injury, Jennings should be a nice short-term asset, especially those looking for cheap assists.
