Bucks will rest Robin Lopez and Pat Connaughton during Sunday's preseason game versus the Wizards.

Lopez is in line to back up his brother Brook Lopez, but could get some run along side of him as well. Neither Connaughton or Robin Lopez are worth drafting in standard leagues.

The LA Times reports NBA executives believe Anthony Davis will opt out and sign a two-year deal with the Lakers, with a player option on the second year.

This kind of one-plus-one contract strategy was employed by both LeBron James and Kevin Durant in recent years. It provides stars total flexibility year to year, with a safety net in case of serious injury. Davis may also be looking to ensure he doesn't get left behind if LeBron decides to leave the Lakers once his deal has ended. Regardless of his reasoning, Davis will get whatever he wants from the Lakers for years to come.

De'Aaron Fox

According to NBC Sports, De'Aaron Fox will seek a five-year max contract extension and the Kings are likely to meet his demands and lock down their star point guard.

Fox is undoubtedly the team's best guard and most valuable asset, so it's no surprise he wants the most the Kings can offer. The team may have been reticent to extend such an offer prior to the bubble, given Fox's propensity to sprain his ankles this year. But he had the best stretch of his season in Orlando, increasing his scoring significantly from 20.4 to 26.2 points per game on 50.4 percent shooting from the field. If he maintains that level of play the Kings should have no qualms about giving Fox a blank cheque.

ESPN's Tim Bontemps reported Monday that his sources have "emphatically" stated the Bucks won't look to trade Giannis if he turns down the supermax extension offer this offseason.

The world has become accustomed to superstar trades in recent years but it seems the Bucks will flip the script with Giannis. Despite the emphatic sentiment, reporting of this nature could easily be interpreted as the organization solidifying their leverage in advance of the offseason. This could also be seen as Bucks insiders sending a signal to Giannis that they're committed above all else to continuing to compete. Only time will tell, but perhaps this report will quell Giannis trade speculation for the time being.

Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose is a player who could be on the move this offseason, with the Lakers being one of his potential destinations, according to Sean Deveney of the Heavy.

We've heard this song before, Derrick Rose being sought after by a title contender, the Lakers specifically. However, with Rajon Rondo opting out of his deal, Rose makes sense as a veteran who can add to the team's backcourt depth. Also, being on the wrong side of 30 on a rebuilding team, Rose makes a lot of sense to be dealt by the Pistons for some young projects and/or draft picks.

Stephen A. Smith is hearing that Kawhi Leonard has "privately clamored" for the Clippers to add a point guard.

A rough postseason put the Clippers' flaws on full display, and the lack of a true orchestrator was a major problem. Patrick Beverley is a tenacious defender but doesn't necessarily fit the mold of a traditional point guard, so adding a real playmaker to help alleviate the pressure on the Clippers' top talent should be a major priority this offseason. The organization has hitched its wagon to Leonard so we'd expect his input to play a big role in the team's future moves.
