Buddy Hield played 27 minutes in a win against the Knicks on Monday, finishing with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, three 3-pointers, four rebounds, three assists, three steals and zero turnovers.
Hield has been just outside of the top-50 in his last six games. During that span, he’s averaging 14.0 points, 4.7 boards, 3.2 treys, 2.0 dimes, 1.0 steals, 0.8 turnovers per game, while shooting 43.8% from the field and 100.0% from the line. He’s doing that in just 27.3 minutes a night too. If he’s going to be a legitimate fantasy asset, he’s going to have to continue to hit shots from downtown and rack up steals. He’s definitely worth a pickup in standard leagues if you’re in need of treys, but keep in mind he’s a rookie and could fall off any time with his percentages and lack of peripheral stats.
