The Bulls have only committed to Robin Lopez as one of the team’s starters, meaning the other four spots will be up for grabs in training camp.
It’s going to be tough for fantasy owners to track everything here, but there aren’t many appealing options anyway. The point guard battle should go to Kris Dunn, assuming he can fend off Jerian Grant. Nikola Mirotic is likely to start at power forward, though Lauri Markkanen impressed at EuroBasket and Bobby Portis could make some noise. Justin Holiday seems likely to hold things down on the wing until Zach LaVine returns, while Denzel Valentine also figures to have the inside track on a starting job. Paul Zipser became a rotation fixture at the end of last season, so he could also be a serious candidate. Of the names listed, Mirotic is our favorite target while nobody else screams “standard league asset.” Dunn and Holiday are the next best bets for fantasy value, just in case.
