C.J. Miles picked up 14 points off the bench in Tuesday’s win, adding a season-high seven rebounds and four triples in 27 minutes.
This also represented his season-high in minutes, and Miles is trending up as the season ends. Malcolm Miller started and wound up with five points, a 3-pointer and a steal in 15 minutes while Norman Powell played only five minutes. Miles may not start but has seen his playing time and output start to climb over the last month, and you can bet that trend will continue as the Raptors start to explore his fit in different lineup combinations. They’ll need those looks for the postseason and have plenty of cushion with which to experiment, so Miles could be a difference-making 3-point specialist to finish the season.
